Currently...November

November 6, 2014
I'm linking up with Farley from Oh' Boy 4th Grade to bring you this month's currently....a little late to the party...

I am so addicted to HGTV! I leave it on throughout the night and my hubby HATES me for it, I just know!! Hahaha! I've always said if I wasn't a teacher, I would have gone into interior designing! Ahhhh!

I've definitely been thinking how much I've missed blogging as well. It's been a long 4 months, but honestly, I just can't find the motivation. When I get home all I want to do it take a bath and get to bed, with HGTV on of course! I have so many things I've been wanting to share and every time I think I'll get online to blog, I end up doing something else. My kids this year are 12 kinds of chatty! I have never had so many kids interrupt me and ask 100 questions when I read a storybook. We're working on it, and hopefully sooner than later, they'll learn.

I've definitely been wanting to win the lottery and travel the world! HA! I don't even play the lottery so that might surely be the first thing I need to start with huh?!

And finally, I'm reading "Writer's Workshop: The Essential Guide". I've always struggled with teaching my kinder babies how to write. There's just some mental blockage in my little head that puts it off. I need to get out of the mindset that if they don't know letters and sounds, they aren't able to write. HELP!

A few blogging friends and I have teamed up to support our friend Samantha, from Mrs. Kelly's Klass, who will be giving birth tomorrow to a little angel with Congenital Heart Disease. Her darling baby girl will need to undergo 3 open heart surgeries within her first week of life. If you have a minute, I'd be forever grateful if you'd check out this bundle. There are two Kindergarten bundles for only $12 each and a 1st & 2nd Grade bundle for $20. You're not going to beat that price anywhere!!

I hope you'll find something you can use in one of these bundles and donate to such a great cause! Samantha and her family are also planning to donate 50% of the funds to CHD research. You can read more of her story here

This is the item I donated to the bundle. It's my Beginning Sounds Printable Pack. It's perfect for morning work, homework, early finishers, etc.

You can find it here, with these other amazing items for just $12.
The retail price for all of these packets is $65!! That's less than $1 per item!!!!

Here's a closer look at the next bundle, this bundle retails for $72.

Five for Friday!

July 4, 2014
I'm linking up with Doodlebugs Teaching to bring you my Five for Friday!

Happy Independence Day!! I hope you had a fun, safe 4th of July!!

I have been shopping up a storm online in preparation for heading back- to- school. GASP! I know, I'm crazy. I recently purchased this adorable carpet online and I have been stalking the post office in hopes it will arrive soon.

I also purchased some crayons and laminating pouches on Amazon.

I've just started reading the Daily 5 second edition. I know I'm a little late to the party, but it's better late than never, right?

And finally, I just picked up this amazing tote bag today which I will be using as my new teacher bag.

Can you tell I'm excited to head back to school? Well, a little. Hahaha! :)

Currently....JULY!

July 1, 2014
I'm linking up with Farley from Oh Boy 4th Grade to bring you this month's currently.

Is it really July? I honestly feel like June went by in the blink of an eye. We start school on August 18th, so I'm really hoping July goes by reaalllllyyyyyy slow!!

These two e cards made me laugh OUT loud!!

Can I get an AMEN?!! This is the time where I've scheduled all our family appointments, as well as our dog's checkups & shots. Not to mention, I've been running errands like a crazy woman!

Another AMEN!!! My mind has been racing with all the things I want to do with my kids this year. I've taken time to search through TPT, pinterest, and bloglovin' for some fantastic products and ideas that I think my students will benefit from. Writing is something I struggle with each year, and that's mainly because a majority of my kids are ELL and can take up to half the school year mastering letters and sounds. This year I plan to beef it up 200% to get those little ones writing WAY sooner!

I've also been shopping for my classroom! I've been dying wanting to get rid of the old, dingy carpet in my classroom, and with the help of TPT I was finally able to do that! I purchased this adorable rug which I am anxiously stalking the mailman for!! :)

Currently....MAY!

May 3, 2014
Time to dust off my blog! I didn't realize it's been over a month since I've checked in....YIKES!!

I'm linking up with the ever- so- awesome Farley from Oh' Boy Fourth Grade to bring you this month's Currently.

I've been soooo busy assessing, assessing, assessing! Don't you hate that?! I sometimes feel Kindergarten is the new First Grade and I hate it. I hate it so much I've been seriously thinking about taking a pre- k spot that's opening up at my school next year under Obama's Universal Pre-school Plan. What are your thoughts on his plan? I'm nervous, excited and worried all rolled into one!

SURPRISE: Creating & Teaching and Pre- School Wonders are two of my favorite pre-k blogs. Since I've been thinking about moving to pre-k, I've been stalking a few pre-k blogs! :)

Happy Weekend!!

March already? Sheesh! I can't keep up!

I'm linking up with Farley from Oh' Boy 4th Grade to bring you this month's Currently…

Did you shop the TpT 3 Million Teachers Strong Sale? Did you go a little crazy? I sure did. I had to give myself a budget because I knew I was going to go a little crazy. I picked up a TON of clip art, as well as some fabulous centers and morning work for my class. Now I need to go back into my account and actually start downloading everything….sigh.

I'm also totally craving a cronut!! Cronuts are sweeping the nation!! Well, ok not exactly- I'm exaggerating. But I'm totally in love with them.

It's a doughnut and a croissant in one! YUM!!!
